BEAUMONT — Ford Motor is suing a Texas customer, alleging he has failed to pay for a vehicle.
Ford Motor Credit Company LLC filed a complaint May 6 in the Jefferson County District Court Peter Francis Doyle of Groves, alleging breach of contract and unpaid debit in failing to fully pay the total amount owed for a Ford vehicle.
According to the complaint, on Aug. 20, 2014, Doyle signed a finance contract involving the purchase of a new Ford Focus and was supposed to pay monthly installments totaling $22,985.40. The suit says between May 2015 and May 2016, Ford suffered damages as a result of Doyle's unpaid monthly installments.
The plaintiff alleges Doyle failed to make 13 monthly payments for the vehicle despite being notified of the delinquent payments.
The suit says Doyle's debt has reached 18,117.54.
Ford seeks a writ of sequestration for the vehicle, an order granting the plaintiff possession of the vehicle, judgment plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorneys Darren Robert Hatch and Grace H. Sundberg of Reagan McLain & Hatch LLP in Dallas.
