Houston company alleges League City realtor breached contract, owes $128,000

GALVESTON — A Houston company is suing a League City realtor, alleging failure to pay rent of more than $128,000.

Circle S.M. Investments LLC filed a lawsuit May 9 in Galveston County District Court against Cynthia Louise Marx, doing business as Texas Star Realtors, alleging breach of lease agreement in failing to pay rent.

According to the complaint, between Dec. 1, 2014 and March 2016, Circle S.M. suffered damages of more than $128,000 as a result of unpaid rent on property at 3612 W. Main St., League City. The plaintiff alleges Texas Star Realtors failed to pay rent, plus a share of property taxes, insurance and maintenance for the property.

Circle S.M. Investments seeks actual damages of $128,800 plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorney Kyle L. Dickson of Murray Lobb PLLC in Houston.
