Friendswood corporation alleges Houston racing business owes more than $200,000

GALVESTON — A Friendswood corporation is suing a Houston racing business, alleging it owes more than $200,000.

Tannos Holdings LLC filed a lawsuit May 10 in Galveston County District Court against Houston Karting & Entertainment, LLC, doing business as Formula Racing Center, alleging breach of contract and unpaid debt. 

According to the complaint, on Aug. 26, 2013, Formula Racing delivered to Tannos Holdings a promissory note for $218,746.49. The plaintiff alleges the defendant has failed to to perform the duties stipulated in the promissory note.

Tannos Holdings seeks a trial by jury, payment of $218,746.49 plus interest, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorneys David E. Cowen and Amanda D. Wright of McLeod, Alexander, Powel & Apffel PC in Galveston.
