BEAUMONT — A Tyler County motorist is suing another driver, alleging the defendant's negligence caused a crash.
Phillip Pullen of Tyler County filed a lawsuit April 1 in Jefferson County District Court against Eduardo Contreras of Bryan, alleging negligence in that the defendant failed to properly control his vehicle.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 7, 2014, Pullen suffered severe bodily damage after Contreras attempted to change lanes, struck the side of the plaintiff's car and pushed it into a light pole. The plaintiff alleges Contreras failed to keep a proper lookout while changing lanes.
The suit says the plaintiff sustained physical pain, disfigurement, loss of earnings and medical expenses.
Pullen seeks more than $100,000 for all medical expenses, all damages plus interest, and court costs, plus any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys Lindsey B. Whisenhant, Brad Elrod and Lucas Babin of Woodville.
