Mexican business alleges Texas contractor owes nearly $900,000

HOUSTON — A Mexican business is suing a Texas contractor, alleging an unpaid debt of nearly $900,000.

Crowley Logistics De Mexico S De RL De CV filed a complaint April 18 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Harkand Gulf Contracting Ltd. alleging breach of contract and unpaid debt. 

According to the complaint, on Sept. 28, 2012, Crowley Logistics suffered damages of $886,195 for unpaid services. The plaintiff alleges Harkand Gulf has failed to fully pay the plaintiff for services agreed to in a shipping agreement.

Crowley Logistics seeks judgment of $886,195, plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief they court deems just. It is represented by attorneys Marc G. Matthews, Andrew B. Brown, Robert J. Barbier and Meredith W. Blanque of Phelps Dunbar LLP in Houston.
