Galveston County man accuses Houston company of discrimination

GALVESTON — A fired employee is suing a Houston company, alleging it terminated him due to his age. 

Martiniano Arguello filed a complaint on May 16, in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Apache Industrial Services, Inc., alleging age discrimination. .

According to the lawsuit, between May 14-May 19, 2015, Arguello, who was 55, experienced discrimination during his employment because of his age, which ultimately resulted in his termination. The plaintiff alleges Apache Industrial did not prevent and took no action to discipline employees from discriminating against Arguello, conduct that included insults and physical assaults.

Arguello seeks trial by jury, back pay plus interest, front pay, compensatory damages, punitive damages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys John C. Lipps and Bruce A. Coane of Coane and Associates PLLC in Houston.
