Former employee files suit against Whole Foods over alleged discrimination

SHERMAN – A Plano man alleges he was discriminated against while working for a grocer.

Joseph C. Vrasic filed a complaint on May 9 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against Whole Foods Market, Inc. alleging that the employer discriminated against him.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2013, he was harassed and was verbally abused while employed by the defendant because of his age, disability and religion. He alleges he suffered emotional pain and suffering, mental anguish and nonpecuinary losses.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, reinstatement, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by John E. Wall Jr. of Law Offices of John E. Wall Jr. in Dallas.
