HOUSTON – A Georgia man alleges a The Woodlands business called him using an autodialer in violation of federal law.
Gerardo Cruz filed a complaint on June 9 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Conn Appliances Inc. alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was called on his cellular phone by the defendant using an automatic dialer system and despite his request to stop in December 2015, he continued to receive calls.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 for statutory damages for each violation, treble damages for each violation, and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Jenny DeFrancisco of Lemberg Law LLC in Wilton, Connecticut.
