HOUSTON – A chemist's lawsuit against his former employer over allegations he wasn't paid overtime wages during his employment has been dismissed with prejudice with each party bearing their own costs.
The plaintiff had alleged that between June 3, 2014, and Nov. 11, 2015, he worked for more than 40 hours per workweek for the defendant without receiving any overtime wages. The plaintiff sued Inspectorate America Corp. claiming the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime compensation for all hours worked more than 40 hours. The plaintiff also alleged he was terminated when complaining about not receiving overtime.
The plaintiff requested a trial by jury and sought all unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages equal to the unpaid overtime wages, compensatory damages, punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He was represented by Andrew S. Golub of Dow Golub Remels & Beverly LLP in Houston.
