Houston trial lawyer Tony Buzbee, joined by the Republican National Committee, recently sent out an invitation for the fundraiser slated for June 17. Tickets range from $5,400 to $250,000 per couple.
According to KHOU.com, Buzbee anticipates 400 attendees and says $2 million has already been raised.
Throughout the years, the Record has reported on the litigation pursued by Buzbee, including the $159 million verdict he hauled in last August following a trial over the 2012 Valero refinery fire.
Before Perry ducked out of the 2016 presidential race, Buzbee donated $2,700 to his campaign, campaign finance records show.
