Employees accuse Grand Prairie business of failing to pay overtime

Late 02

MARSHALL — Three employees are suing a Grand Prairie business, alleging failure to pay overtime wages.

Gilford Nugent, Dalton McDermott and Bronta Washington filed a class action lawsuit, individually on behalf of all others similarly situated, June 13 in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Stripe A Zone Inc. in Grand Prairie, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act in failing to fairly compensate employees.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs worked for more than 40 hours a week but were not paid any overtime.

The plaintiffs seek a trial by jury, compensation, liquidated damages, injunctive relief, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by attorney Bob Whitehurst of Tyler.
