GALVESTON — A Bacliff woman is suing a Texas motorist and his employer, alleging their negligence led to a crash that injured the plaintiff.
Deborah Carlisle Poulter filed a lawsuit July 11 in Galveston County District Court against Timothy Brent Gibbs and Cams Trident LLC, alleging negligence in failing to control a motor vehicle.
According to the complaint, on Aug. 14, 2015, Poulter was hit from behind by a car driven by Gibbs while she was at a complete stop at the intersection of state Highway 146 and Meadow Lane in Kemah. The suit says the collision caused Gibbs injuries and financial damages, including mental and physical pain and suffering, mental anguish and loss of future earnings capacity.
The plaintiff alleges Gibbs failed to timely apply his brakes and failed to maintain proper lookout and that Cams Trident negligently entrusted the vehicle to Gibbs.
Poulter seeks trial by jury, actual damages, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest, costs of suit and for such other relief to which she is justly entitled. She is represented by attorney Alton C. Todd of The Law Firm of Alton C. Todd in Friendswood.
