HOUSTON — A Woodlands pharmacy is suing a pharmacy benefits manager, alleging breach of contract and owing more than $759,000.
Healthy Pharmacy Solutions Inc. of The Wooldlands filed a lawsuit July 5 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Prime Therapeutics LLC alleging violation of the Texas Insurance Code.
According to the complaint, Healthy Pharmacy has has not received payment for any of the 594 prescriptions it has processed between April 4-May 1, 2016, totaling $759,091.14. The plaintiff alleges Prime Therapeutics has failed and refused to timely pay the amount, in whole or in part, within 30 days of each respective claim submitted by the plaintiff.
Healthy Pharmacy Solutions seeks trial by jury, actual damages of at least $759,091.14, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and legal costs, plus such other relief to which it is entitled.
