Richmond resident alleges appliance store guilty of phone harassment

HOUSTON — A Richmond man is suing a Woodlands appliance store, alleging telephone harassment.  

Kenneth J. Ward filed a lawsuit July 22 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Conn Appliances Inc., alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, Ward was annoyed, harassed and inconvenienced by Conn Appliances' continued phone calls. The plaintiff alleges Conn continued to place automated calls to his cellular telephone even after being requested to cease calling him. 

Ward seeks a trial by jury, damages of $500 for each violation determined to be negligent, treble damages and such other relief deemed just and proper. He is represented by attorney Jenny DeFrancisco of Lemberg Law LLC in Wilton, Connecticut.
