A fatal shooting at a Houston bar last year has resulted in a wrongful death lawsuit, according to recent Harris County court records.

In the suit filed July 25 against MK 202 Entertainment LLC in the Harris County 61st District Court, Houston residents Sergio Ramirez and Reinalda Rubio say that their son, Juan Carlos Ramirez, was carjacked and shot in the parking lot of F-Bar, which is operated by the defendant, on or about Mar. 12, 2015.

Irwin H. Palchick, a purported member of MK 202 Entertainment, is also a defendant in the case.

The younger Ramirez, 22, was reportedly in the midst of a night out with an acquaintance named Chloe when the subject event occurred. The suit claims that two young men attacked the decedent as he made his way to his vehicle, stating F-Bar’s back lot lacked any security personnel or features.

Per the complaint, Chloe tried to get help for Juan Carlos Ramirez to no avail. Juan Carlos Ramirez collapsed and died some 75 feet near the establishment’s front entrance, the original petition says.

Court papers further show that F-Bar, located at 202 Tuam St. in Midtown Houston, is in an area prone to high criminal activity. Nearly 170 incidents occurred in said area two months prior to Juan Carlos Ramirez’s death, they say.

Consequently, the decedent’s parents seek unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

They are represented by attorney Todd E. Webb of The Law Office of Todd E. Webb in Houston.
