The plaintiff Banertek alleges that United States Patent Number 6,839,731 B2 had been infringed upon.

Recent court papers explain that the ‘731, entitled “System and Method for Providing Data Communication in a Device Network,” was issued on Jan. 4, 2005 and was assigned to three entities including Banertek.

“The ‘731 Patent is directed to a novel system and method for data communication in a

device network,” they say.

Banertek seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
