Harris County corporation alleges title company breached fiduciary duty

HOUSTON — A Harris County corporation is suing a Houston title business, alleging misapplication of fiduciary funds.

LSR Consulting LLC filed a complaint on Aug. 1, in the Harris County Circuit Court against Chicago Title of Texas LLC and Judithanne Bartlett of The Woodlands, alleging violation of the escrow agreement.

According to the complaint, LSR Consulting has suffered financial damages, including out-of-pocket losses resulting from its transactions with the defendants. The plaintiff alleges defendant Chicago Title wrongfully delivered the amount of $19,987.50 escrowed funds to Bartlett without notifying plaintiff and ignored to return the escrowed funds.

LSR Consulting seeks a trial by jury, monetary damages between $200,000 and $1 million, reasonable attorney fees, exemplary damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and all relief to which it is entitled. It is represented by attorney J. Chris Juravich of Houston.
