HOUSTON — A Houston man is suing an Oklahoma energy company and others, alleging failure to pay overtime.

Jared Harlow filed a lawsuit Aug. 4 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Legend Energy Services LLC of Oklahoma City, Trey Ingram, Matthew Goodson and Josh Pruett, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, between October 2013 and February 2015, Harlow worked for more than 40 hours per week as a pump operator but did not receive any overtime compensation. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay him overtime compensation for the hours he was made to work of more than 40 in a single week and misclassified him as exempt from overtime wages.

Harlow seeks a trial by jury, declaratory judgment that the defendants’ practices violate the FLSA, all overtime wages, liquidated damages, attorney fees, all legal costs and all other relief the court deems necessary. He is represented by attorney Josh Sanford of Sanford Law Firm PLLC in Little Rock, Arkansas.
