GALVESTON — A League City man is suing a local salon/barbershop, alleging its negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Robert Hart filed a lawsuit Aug. 3 in Galveston County District Court against Isidore Beauty Salon LLC, alleging negligence and breach of duty in failing to maintain the premises in a safe condition.

According to the complaint, on June 16, as Hart approached Isidore Beauty Salon's front door at 320 E. Main St., League City, he slipped and fell on the sidewalk. The suit says the fall caused serious injuries to Hart's right ankle and right lower leg, requiring emergency medical treatment.

The lawsuit states Hart experienced chronic pain, anxiety, discomfort, mental anguish and loss of earning capacity, plus medical care and expenses. The plaintiff alleges the defendant allowed the dangerous conditions to persist, failed to to provide an appropriate mat to cover the inappropriate glazed tile and failed to place signs and warnings about the hazards.

Hart seeks a trial by jury, actual damages between $200,000 and $1 million, pre and post-judgment interest, legal costs and all relief to which he is justly entitled. He is represented by attorneys Byron M. Buchanan of The Buchanan Law Office PC in Houston, and by Brooks Harrison of Pasadena.
