Carpet, flooring business alleges Houston apartment owner owes $40,000

Contract 08

HOUSTON — A Dallas County carpet and flooring provider is suing a Houston apartment owner, alleging it owes more than $40,000.

Arbor Contract Carpet Inc. filed a lawsuit Aug. 5 in Harris County District Court against S Chase Limited Partnership, doing business as Seton Chase Apartments, alleging failure to pay its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, Arbor Contract Carpet has sold, delivered and/or installed carpet, carpet padding, vinyl, tile and other related materials to the defendant's property at 7703 Seton Lake Drive, Houston, at the cost of $40,526.82. The suit says Seton Chase Apartments remains indebted for this amount.

The plaintiff alleges that despite repeated demand for payment, the defendant has wrongfully failed and refused to pay the balance of the account.

Arbor Contract Carpet seeks trial by jury, judgment for the principal amount of $40,526.82, plus interest, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of suit and all relief to which it is justly entitled. It is represented by attorney David E. Thomas of Thomas, Cinclair & Beuttenmuller PC in Dallas.
