Geico alleges motorist owes more than $15,000

GALVESTON — Geico is suing a Texas City motorist, alleging his negligence caused a crash that damaged the car of a Geico client. 

Geico filed a complaint on Aug. 11, in the Galveston County District Court against George Cornel Taylor, alleging the defendant negligently operated his motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 29, 2015, Taylor negligently operated a motor vehicle that collided with a car owned by Geico client Crista Ann Sereni. The suit says the crash caused damages of $15,482.86 and Geico has compensated Sereni for the loss in the said amount. 

The plaintiff alleges Taylor negligently caused a collision and damages to a motor vehicle owned by Geico insured customer.

Geico seeks, trial by jury, judgment for $15,482.86 with pre- and post-judgment interest, cost of suit and all other relief to which the plaintiff is entitled. He is represented by attorneys Jessica R. Lobes, Bonnie A. Christie and Stephen D. Fox of Rathbone Group LLC in Houston.
