GALVESTON — An Alabama bank is suing a Galveston County man, alleging he owes more than $30,000.

Regions Bank filed a lawsuit Aug. 17 in Galveston County District Court against Jeremy R. Saulsberry of League City, alleging failure to make payments as required by the terms of a contract.

According to the complaint, on April 15, 2014, Regions Bank's predecessor-in-interest and Saulsberry entered into a contract to finance the purchase of a 2011 Cadillac SRX, wherein the defendant was required to make 72 monthly payments in the amount of $585.71.

As of Feb. 16, 2016, the suit says, the amount of $30,237.10 remains due and unpaid. The plaintiff alleges Saulsberry has failed to make the requisite payments pursuant to the contract, thereby defaulting the contract.

Regions Bank seeks trial by jury, possession of the collateral, plus the sums owed not less than $30,237.10, attorney fees, court expenses and all other relief. It is represented by attorney Karen K. Karabinos of Drew Eckl & Franham LLP in Atlanta.
