GALVESTON — A Texas woman is suing Galveston hotel and resort operators, alleging their negligence caused her to fall and sustain injuries.

Alicia Hager filed a lawsuit Aug. 15 in Galveston County District Court against TFT Galveston Portfolio Ltd., doing business as The Seasons Resort, and TFT Holdings LLC, alleging negligence in failing to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on April 7, 2015, Hager sustained serious injuries at The Seasons Galveston Island Resort when she slipped and fell on wet tiles. The suit says the fall resulted in in physical pain, mental anguish, plus other medical problems and expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to remedy the hazard or place warning signs in the area and failed to perform routine maintenance and safety inspections.

Hager seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, plus pre- and post-judgment interests, costs of court and all other relief to which she is justly entitled. She is represented by attorneys Michael E. Pierce and M. Paul Skrabanek of Pierce Skrabanek Bruera PLLC in Houston.
