TEXARKANA – Family members of an Arkansas woman allege negligent medical care resulted in her death.

Sharon Robinson, as guardian of Q.S.R. and as representative of the estate of Quannesha Robinson and Bobby Lee Henderson Jr. filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in the Texarkana Division of the Eastern District of Texas against the Christus Health ARK-LA-TEX, doing business as Christus St. Michael Health System; Sound Inpatient Physician of Texas I Inc., doing business as Sound Physicians of Texas and formerly Cogent Healthcare of Texas; and Jonathan P. Pesco, MD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 4, 2014, Quannesha Robinson was admitted to Christus St. Michael Health System for treatment of abscess and sepsis. She remained hospitalized until her death on Oct. 10, 2014, the suit states. As a result of her death, the plaintiffs allege they have been damaged, including but not limited to mental anguish, loss of support and inheritance and medical and funeral expenses.

The plaintiffs holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly evaluate, diagnose and treat decedent’s conditions and failed to properly supervise their employees in the care of decedent.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants for damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees, court costs and any other relief. They are represented by Matthew F. Golden of Matthew Golden Law Firm PLLC in Texarkana.
