HOUSTON — A Texas man is suing an Ohio laser engraving manufacturer, alleging breach of implied and express warranties.
Princeton Wong filed a lawsuit Oct. 4 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Tykma Electrox Company, alleging violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade and Practices Act.
According to the complaint, Wong suffered monetary damages for paying an additional $6,017 for a laser marking and engraving system and then being unable to use it for its intended use. The suit says Wong suffered further damages for loss of use of the machine and loss of profits.
The plaintiff alleges Tykma Electrox failed to fix the machine to perform the promised 3-D deep engraving without split lines being visible, failed to include the 40-waveform function that he ordered and failed to replace the damaged system with a new one.
Wong seeks trial by jury, judgment for all damages, interest, attorney fees, legal fees and all other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by attorney Mehdi Cherkaoui of Cherkaoui & Associates PLLC in Houston.
