Houston motorist blames pole line company, driver for crash

GALVESTON — A Harris County motorist is suing a Houston company and an employee, alleging their negligence led to a crash that injured the plaintiff. 

Ella Thibodeaux filed a lawsuit Oct. 27 in Galveston County District Court against North Houston Pole Line LP and Jeffrey Gasen, North Houston Pole negligently hired and retained Gasen.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 20, 2015, Thibodeaux was stopped in her motor vehicle near the 1700 block of FM W. 646 in League City. Suddenly, the suit says, Gasen, driving a vehicle for North Houston Pole Line, slammed into the rear of the plaintiff's car. causing her to sustain permanent and disabling injuries that require extensive medical treatment. 

The plaintiff alleges Gasen failed to maintain proper lookout, failed to yield right of way and failed to maintain proper speed.

Thibodeaux seeks trial by jury, judgment not exceeding $750,000 with interest, plus all other relief. She is represented by attorney Jeff Musslewhite of Brown & Musslewhite in Houston.
