HOUSTON – Two widely known family law attorneys have established a new law firm in Houston, Texas to cater to cases involving adoption, divorce, and other related matters.
Shannon L. Boudreaux and Kevin D. Hunter collaborated to create Boudreaux Hunter & Associates LLC, a family law firm, in Houston. This joint effort resulted in a company that is devoted to extending their legal services to families during troubling and challenging times such as divorce.
In understanding the emotional and legal complexities of family law, both Hunter and Boudreaux aim to offer extensive support to their clients by resolving matters in the most amicable and reasonable ways possible.
Apart from adoption and divorce, the Boudreaux Hunter & Associates law firm offer legal counseling, support and guidance for cases linked to paternity, post-marital agreements and child custody. The family law firm also specializes in matters concerning mediation, spousal maintenance and modification. They are also capable of handling issues regarding pre-marital agreements, child support, LGBT-related matters, and even pet custody.
Boudreaux, who has more than 12 years of professional experience in the field, recently received an award from the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys for being one of the 10 Best Female Attorneys in Client Satisfaction for 2016. Her work and involvements in the cases involving the fields of child custody, child support, mediation, adoption, spousal maintenance, and other issues concerning family law highlighted her contributions to the legal profession. Her dedication to help her clients reach and agree to pursue positive legal actions has been widely recognized in the community.
On top of her work as a family law attorney, Boudreaux is a certified mediator. Prior to founding and becoming a partner at Boudreaux Hunter & Associates, she was a senior associate attorney at Holmes, Diggs & Eames PLLC from 2015 to 2016. From January 2009 to December 2014, she worked as a private lawyer under the Shannon L. Boudreaux P.C. During her six-year stint as an attorney-at-law, she was named one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in 2014 and 2015.
Meanwhile, Hunter has been notable for his works in the fields of family law, child custody, insurance, and divorce and separation. A graduate from the South Texas College of Law, he had been recognized for his varsity-level skills in the Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition at the Emory University School of Law as well as the National Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition at the Pepperdine University School of Law. Hunter was also an Officer for the Board of Advocates, which is a group that catered to the country’s most prominent courtroom advocacy program.
Prior to pursuing a career in the legal profession, Hunter was a firefighter. He obtained his bachelor's degree in fire science at Wayland Baptist University. He is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
