Houston contractor alleges customers did not pay for work

HOUSTON — A Houston contractor is suing a customer, alleging failure to pay more than $16,000 for completed work. 

Maxhome LLC filed a lawsuit Nov. 16 in Harris County District Court against the estate of John M. Martinez, deceased, and Louie M. Pervis, alleging failure to perform contractual obligations and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, on March 8, Martinez entered into a contract wherein Maxhome would renovate a bathroom of the defendants' home at 12602 Big Stone Driver, Houston, for $16,222. 

The plaintiff alleges Pervis has failed to make payments on the $16,222 that remains due and owing.

Maxhome seeks trial by jury. monetary relief of up to $100,000, all damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and court costs and all other just relief. He is represented by attorneys Christopher L. Johnson, Justin M. Kornegay and W. Rhys O'Farrell of Lyonns & Plackemeier PLLC in Texas City.
