GALVESTON — Two League City home buyers are suing multiple companies, alleging breach of contract and breach of express warranty.

Atul Sachdev and Lisa Sachdev filed a lawsuit Dec. 2 in Galveston County District Court against Perry Homes LLC, PHI Holding Inc. Perry Home Contractors, PH Financial LLC, et al,,   alleging violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the complaint, Atul Sachdev and Lisa Sachdev purchased a new home at 1821 Landing Drive, League City. Since the purchase, the suit says, they learned and discovered numerous construction defects and mold growth with the new home

As a result, the lawsuit states the Sachdevs suffered monetary damages for costs of necessary repairs, consulting fees and other incident and consequential damages. The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to provide a home that was fit for human habitation, and failed to repair such defects in a good and workmanlike manner.

The Sachdevs seek trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, pre- and post-judgment interest, and all other proper relief. They are represented by attorneys Ian P. Faria and Christian Dewhurst of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP in Houston.
