MARSHALL — A motorist is suing Unimark Truck Transport LLC, citing alleged negligent entrustment.

Dale Williams filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Unimark Truck Transport, alleging that the Wisconsin trucking company negligently entrusted the vehicle to a careless employee.

According to the complaint, Williams alleges that on April 30, he was operating his motor vehicle on FM 2253 in Bowie County when a vehicle owned and operated by the defendant and driven by its employee, Michael Dale Young, negligently caused a collision with plaintiff's vehicle. Due to the crash, Williams sustained severe and disabling injuries. He holds Unimark Truck Transport responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly train and supervise its statutory employee and Young failed to operate the vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

Williams requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for actual, punitive and/or exemplary damages, attorney's fees, costs of court, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other and further relief. He is represented by Luke Bickham of Luke Bickham PC in Dallas.
