HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston gas station and convenience store operator, alleging violation of workers compensation acts in failing to pay overtime wages.

Aquino Anders, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a class action complaint Feb. 13 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Kashmir Road Lines LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Anders has been damaged for working for Kashmir Road as a store clerk for more than 40 hours per week without overtime compensation for all extra hours worked.

The plaintiff alleges Kashmir Road refused to properly compensate her for her overtime hours, as required by FLSA, and failed to maintain accurate time records.

Anders seeks trial by jury, all unpaid wages, plus liquidated damages, costs of court, expenses and attorney fees and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by attorneys Charles W. Branham III and Corinna Chandler of Dean Omar & Branham LLP in Dallas.
