Galveston County resident accuses employer and premises owner of unsafe work environment.

HOUSTON — An invitee is suing Aztec Bolting Services Inc. and Marine Ameriforce Group Inc, employer and premises owner, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.

Carlos Gonzalez filed a complaint on March 1, in the Harris County District Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to provide a safe place to work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in March 25, 2015, he sustained serious and permanent injuries while in the course and scope of his employment with defendant Aztec, and working at defendant Ameriforge's premises. He was injured when the hex head ruptured and struck his stomach, thereby slicing it open and causing his hernia to protrude. The plaintiff holds Aztec Bolting Services Inc. and Marine Ameriforce Group Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently conducted active operation on the premise and failed to properly supervise the ongoing operation.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of over $1 million, plus interest, costs of court and such other just and proper relief. He is represented by Jeff Limmer and John Arthur Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
