GALVESTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Hyundai automobile dealer, alleging breach of contract and performing deceptive trade practices.

Christina Garcia filed a complaint March 18 in Galveston County District Court against Ron Carter Hyundai of Clearlake, Ron Carter Imports, Inc. and Clearlake Automotive, Inc, alleging they violated the Texas Deceptive Trade and Practices Act.

According to the complaint, on May 20, 2016, Garcia visited Ron Carter Hyundai of Clearlake to redeem a contest ticket by the dealership. While attempting to redeem her coupon, the suit says, Garcia was offered a vehicle under false and deceptive pretenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants refused to allow her to review sales contract prepared by them and failed to abide by the contractual relationship agreement wherein Garcia can return her vehicle if she is not satisfied.

Garcia seeks trial by jury, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees, costs of suit and all just relief. She is represented by attorney Judith Brokaw of Judith Brokaw and Associates, PC in Houston.
