HOUSTON — A Missouri doctor with disabilities is suing a professional association, alleging breach of contract and wrongful termination.

Dr. Rebecca Poole-Ward filed a complaint March 21 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Affiliates for Women’s Health PA, alleging violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act.

According to the complaint, as a result of defendant's discriminatory conduct, Poole-Ward suffered loss of career opportunities, loss of reputation, humiliation, lost employment, lost retirement benefits and loss of enjoyment of life. The plaintiff alleges the defendant refused to provide reasonable accommodation for Poole-Ward's conditions of migraines and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and has discriminated and retaliated against her by terminating her employment June 8, 2015 because of her disabilities.

Poole-Ward seeks trial by jury, compensatory and consequential damages, back pay and front pay, plus interest, attorney fees and court costs and all other relief. She is represented by attorney Robert Notzon of The Law Office of Robert Notzon in Austin.
