HOUSTON — A Blanco County guitarist is suing a Houston parking service provider, alleging its negligence led to injuries to the plaintiff.
Neal Ford filed a complaint March 30 in Harris County District Court against Elegant Valet Service LLC, alleging the defendant negligently hired, trained and supervised its employee.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 16, 2016, Ford's left hand was crushed when an Elegant Valet driver drove his truck vehicle beside the vehicle from which the plaintiff was removing his guitar in preparation for a performance at Hemi Hideout in Brookshire, crushing Ford's hand.
The suit says Ford suffered pain and impairment of his left forefinger, which has impacted his ability to fret his guitar properly. The plaintiff alleges Elegant Valet's employee negligently whipped the vehicle in the lot and crushed Ford's hand against his own vehicle.
Ford seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million and all other equitable relief. He is represented by attorney Roland G. Brown of The Roland Brown Law Firm in Wimberley.
