IT company alleges former employee broke agreement

HOUSTON — A Fort Bend County IT company is suing a former employee, alleging breach of agreement and restrictive covenant.

Digitec Office Solutions Inc., now known as Function 4 LLC, filed a complaint April 5 in Harris County District Court against Dennis Delgado, alleging the former employee violated the Uniform Trade Secrets Act.

According to the complaint, as a result of defendant's actions, Function 4 has suffered and will continue to suffer irreparable harm to its business, good will and reputation. The plaintiff alleges Delgado terminated his employment with Function 4, accepted employment with the plaintiff's direct competitor and solicited the plaintiff's customers.

Function 4 seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, a temporary and permanent injunction enjoining and restraining Delgado from using or disclosing the plaintiff's protected information. actual and consequential damages, costs of court and all other relief.
