HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston apartment owner/manager, alleging its negligence caused her injuries.
Cathy McKenna filed a complaint April 11 in Harris County Circuit Court against Fairfield Woodway Square LLC, doing business as Woodway Square Apartments, alleging failure to warn invitees of any dangerous condition on or about the premises.
According to the complaint, on Nov. 1, 2015, McKenna was an invitee on the defendant's property at 1200 Winrock Ave., where she sustained severe personal injuries when she fell due to a concealed dangerous condition on the stairs of the apartment. As a result, McKenna says she suffered physical injuries and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to inspect the premises, failed to warn residents and invitees of the dangerous condition and failed to maintain its premises in a reasonable and safe condition.
McKenna seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of suit and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney William R. Ogden of Farrar and Ball, LLP in Houston.
