Consignment business owner alleges cigar lounge failed to pay

GALVESTON — A businessman is suing a Galveston County cigar lounge and its owner,  alleging breach of contract.

Steve Beetham filed a complaint April 18 in Galveston County District Court against The Man Cave Cigar Lounge LLC and Chance Forman and Clifton O'Quinn, alleging failure to pay the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff in 2017, Beetham was damaged financially from not being paid for consignment items he sold the defendant. The plaintiff alleges the defendants have failed to make monthly payments to the plaintiff in consignment sales that total $90,000.

Beetham seeks actual and consequential damages of up to $200,000, attorney fees, exemplary damages interest, and all equitable relief. He is represented by attorney Wilbur H. Dunten of Dunten Law Firm in Dickinson.
