GALVESTON — A Galveston customer is suing a Texas City Kroger, alleging the store's negligence caused her to fall.
Ngoc Loan Tran filed a complaint April 17 in Galveston County District Court against Kroger Texas LP, alleging failure to to exercise ordinary care in preventing invitees being exposed to a unreasonably dangerous condition while on the premises.
According to the complaint, on Aug. 17, 2016, Tran slipped on a liquid substance on the floor while shopping for groceries at the Kroger store in Texas City. As a result, Tran says, she suffered physical injuries, mental anguish and medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Kroger Texas failed to inspect the floors in question to discover the dangerous condition, failed to maintain the floors of the store in a reasonably safe condition and failed to give adequate notice to customers regarding the unsafe condition of the floor area.
Tran seeks trial by jury, monetary relief up to $100,000, pre-judgment interest, costs of court, and all other equitable relief. She is represented by attorney Son Tran of Pastorini, Tran and Sorelle, PLLC in Houston.
