HOUSTON — An entertainment venue provider is suing Epic Sports Entertainment Group, Danny Wright d/b/a DoneWright, Butter Group Holdings LLC and Lauren Ecklund for alleged unjust enrichment and allegedly violating a lease agreement.
Landmark Houston Hospitality Group LLC filed a complaint on May 3 in the Harris County District Court, alleging that the defendants conspired to accomplish tortious interference with the lease.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered actual and consequential damages as a result of the defendants' conduct. During an Super Bowl LI event, which was played in Houston in February, the defendants allegedly left $4,355 in damages to the facility which the defendants are allegedly refusing to pay. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly causing damages to its property, falsely representing that they will compensate the plaintiff for the use of the venue and refusing to pay for damages.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of over $100,000, but not more than $200,000, and other equitable relief. The plaintiff is represented by Andrew K. Meade, D. John Neese Jr. and Kristin Reis of Meade & Neese LLP in Houston.
