Patient blames medical providers for bile duct injury

BEAUMONT — A Silsbee patient is suing medical providers, alleging their negligent led to a bile duct injury. 

Courtney Stark filed a complaint May 2 in Jefferson County District Court against Surgical Critical Care Associates LLP, Dr. Eric T. Wooten DO, Dr. Keith A Wied and Southeast Texas Gastroentorology Associates PA,alleging they negligently caused the plaintiff to be injured and damaged.

According to the complaint, Stark has suffered and will continue to suffer physical pain, mental anguish, physical impairment, loss earnings and medical expenses because the defendants negligently caused her to suffer a common bile duct injury during surgical procedure in February 2015.

Stark seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, pre- and post-judgment interest, plus all equitable relief. She is represented by attorneys Craig Lewis and Heather E. Hall of The Lewis Law Firm in Houston.
