HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Cypress apartment owner and a pet owner, alleging their negligence led to an attack by dogs.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 3, 2016, Ramirez sustained serious injuries to her legs and feet when Matthews-Ferrel's dogs viciously attacked her at the The Point at Cypresswoods Apartments in Cypress. Ramirez says she experience pain and suffering, mental anguish and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Matthews-Ferrel negligently maintained her dogs without a leash or restraints and failed to take proper measures to asses the known danger.
