Worker blames employer for serious finger injuries

HOUSTON — A Harris County man is suing his employer, alleging negligence led to the plaintiff suffering serious injuries.

Jose Antonio Crecencio Rojas filed a complaint May 17 in Harris County District Court against Professional Manpower Solutions LLC, alleging failure to provide safe equipment to complete his task.

According to the complaint, on June 25, 2016, Rojas severely injured multiple fingers on his left hand while cutting plywood with a Craftsman skill saw. Rojas says he suffered physical and mental pain, costs of medical care and treatment and lost wages.

The plaintiff alleges Professional Manpower Solutions failed to provide proper instructions, training and supervision.

Rojas seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other general and special relief. He is represented by attorney Brent M. Cordell of Smith & Hassier in Houston.
