STGJ Enterprises LLC, others accused of misrepresenting insurance cost

Insurance 11

GALVESTON – Two Galveston residents allege that they suffered damages because of a misquote of the price of insurance on their home.

Michael Peltier and Kelly Peltier filed a complaint on May 22 in the Galveston County District Court against STGJ Enterprises LLC, doing business as SMI Agency; Lereta LLC; and Wright National Flood Insurance alleging deceptive trade practices and negligent misrepresentation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that the defendants misquoted the cost of insurance on their Galveston home. They allege that the difference was $3,500 greater than expected.

The plaintiffs hold STGJ Enterprises LLC, Lereta LLC and Wright National Flood Insurance responsible because the defendants allegedly misrepresented both the price quotation for the flood insurance and the ability to be grandfathered at a lower policy premium.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief of more than $100,000 but not more than $200,000 and such other and further relief to which plaintiffs may be entitled. They are represented by Ramzey Zein-Eldin of Ramzey Zein-Eldin & Associates in Galveston.
