HOUSTON – A senior inspector for a Texas corporation has filed a class-action lawsuit against his employer over allegations of unpaid overtime wages.

Francisco Torres, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated filed a complaint on May 24 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Southern Tubular Services LLC alleging that the employer failed to comply with the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was hired by the defendant as an inspector in July 2016. The plaintiff alleges that he regularly worked over 40 hours per week but was not paid overtime premiums for the hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment for all unpaid overtime wages, costs and attorney’s fees and for all further relief as the court deems just and equitable. He is represented by Josef F. Buenker of The Buenker Law Firm in Houston.
