BEAUMONT — A pipeline operator is suing a property owner, citing alleged wrongful interference with right-of-way easement.

Sunoco Pipeline LP filed a complaint May 25 in the Jefferson County District Court against Donna Hargraves alleging the property owner refused to allow the plaintiff and its crew to safely access and maintain its pipeline.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant's interference endangered with the plaintiff's ability to repair its pipeline, for which the plaintiff reasonably anticipates future damages.

The plaintiff holds Hargraves responsible because the defendant allegedly denied access to the land covered by an easement and threatened the safety and welfare of the crew.

The plaintiff seeks an order restraining the defendant from threatening the plaintiff's crew and from interfering with the plaintiff's access to the easement, award for actual damages and other relief the plaintiff is justly entitled. It is represented by Michael T. Bridwell of Strong Pipkin Bissell & Ledyard LLP in Beaumont.
