GALVESTON — A Missouri woman is suing her partner of a unit at a Galveston County storage facility, alleging breach of an agreement.
Julie A. Owens of DeSoto, Missouri, filed a complaint June 2 in Galveston County District Court against Tammy Kluesner, alleging failure to perform her duties under the agreement.
According to the complaint, Owens has suffered irreparable harm despite having made monthly payments for the Extra Space Storage facility in Kemah and for having no access to the unit which contains most of her belongings and family heirlooms.
The plaintiff alleges Kluesner has failed to pay her share for the lease of the storage unit, which restricts Owens' access to the unit.
Owens seeks trial by jury, actual damages and exemplary damages of at least $100,000, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and court costs and all other equitable relief. She is represented by attorneys Sebastian J. Filgueira and Claudia Lozano of Lozano Law Offices PC in Alvin.
