HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a retail store operator, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Alicia Parra filed a complaint June 12 in Harris County District Court against Habitat for Humanity - Northeast Harris Co. Inc. alleging failure to inspect and keep the store premises safe for customers.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 31, Parra was walking down the aisle at the defendant's Re Store in Houston when and an unidentified individual caused two adjacent doors to fall onto her. Parra says she sustained painful and traumatic injuries to her left arm and torso that resulted in suffering, mental anguish, disfigurement and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to train its employees on how to properly stack and store merchandise.

Parra seeks trial by jury, judgment with interest, costs of court and all other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by attorney Clifford D. Peel II of Houston.
