BEAUMONT – A Lumberton woman alleges she was injured in a fall at a grocery store because of a congested aisle.

Sandra Denson filed a complaint on June 21 in the Jefferson County District Court against The Kroger Co. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 2, 2015, she was an invitee at defendant's grocery store in Dowlen when she was injured when she fell to a congested shopping aisle. The suit states employees of the defendant placed cases of water in the middle of the aisle and no warning signs were present.

She alleges she suffered severe and debilitating injuries resulting in loss of earnings, medical expenses, pain, disfigurement and mental anguish.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but not more than $200,000 and all other relief to which plaintiff may be justly entitled. She is represented by Jonathan C. Juhan and J. J. Bragg in Beaumont.
