HOUSTON – A former employee of a Houston car dealership alleges he is owed overtime wages.

Wilbert Carrillo filed a complaint on July 27 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Su Familia Cars & Trucks LLC and Sina Darvish Kojouri alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by the defendant from April 2016 to June 2017 as a porter/car detailer. He alleges he generally worked more than 60 hours per week and was only paid on a salary basis.

The plaintiff holds Su Familia Cars & Trucks LLC and Kojouri responsible because no exemption allegedly excludes the defendants from paying the plaintiff overtime wages.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to recover unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, interest, attorney’s fees, costs and any further relief as the court deems just and equitable. He is represented by Josef F. Buenker and Vijay A. Pattisapu of The Buenker Law Firm in Houston.
